$24.5 Million jury verdict for couple and daughter after balcony dropped 12 feet
A couple and their daughter were standing on a balcony of a friend’s party they were attending, when the balcony collapsed and dropped them 12 feet. All three were seriously and permanently injured and require life-long care. The daughter also suffered internal injuries and must self-catheterize six times/day. Construction documents from the owners/developers of the complex showed evidence of shifting, requests for bids to repair the issue, but no repairs were conducted. #
